The Joy2Learn Sculpture Program focuses on One of America’s greatest living artist’s, sculptor Richard Serra. He is known for working with large scale assemblies of sheet metal. He has had exhibitions at MOMA in New York, LACMA in Los Angeles, Musee National d’Art Moderne in Paris among others.

Richard Serra’s e-Presentation “Sculpture” for Joy2Learn includes a biographical section where Richard shares with us his early life, his parent’s encouragement and his influences as a young artist. There are chapters on techniques, materials, philosophy, influences and a close look at five of his most recent works. There is a glossary and an activity section where students can experiment with sculpting.
